
Engaged Nation Sees Large Increase In Need For Digital Engagement During Covid Lockdown And More Now As Casinos Reopen
The award-winning digital engagement marketing firm saw marked boosts in online participation with active clients, prompting new “welcome back” programs
LAS VEGAS, Nevada (June 15th, 2020) – In March as the Covid-19 lockdowns of businesses and social engagement reached their peak, most were caught flat-footed and unprepared for the impact it would have…not to mention how to combat it. Engaged Nation was no exception, as the award-winning digital marketing engagement firm began looking at how to pivot from the impending launch of a record number of Million Dollar March Mania promotions across the country to most effectively help casinos stay relevant to their customers.
“About a week after the closures took place, our team performed their regular online participation reports for two of our annual REACH™ platform customers – Twin Arrows Casino Resort in Flagstaff, AZ and Morongo Casino Resort Spa in Cabazon, CA. The numbers we saw were remarkable,” said Engaged Nation CEO, Jerry Epstein. “The customized online portals had kept 75% of the active players engaged at Morongo, while Twin Arrows saw a whopping 75% increase in online engagement. We knew what we had to do.”
Within two weeks, Engaged Nation had developed, designed and launched a turnkey online engagement “welcome back” promotion that could be implemented for any client within five days. A week later, they added a version for employees that could be used to educate them on all the safety measures and new operational procedures put in place due to Covid-19. As of this date, eight properties have utilized the turnkey promotion to immediately reengage their customers in advance of their reopening. This includes Morongo adding the “welcome back” promotional elements to their existing GOplay program and Twin Arrows that invited the players club members at the three Navajo Nation New Mexico properties – Fire Rock Casino, Flowing Water Casino and Northern Edge Casino – to also participate.
In addition, Engaged Nation developed and launched customized digital engagement programs for two of the biggest names in casinos:
- The True Rewards Stir Crazy Virtual Slot Tournament was built for the ten casino properties of Golden Entertainment. The promotion included weekly prizes for top performers in the virtual slot tournament, as well as on-property drawings at each location as they have reopened, with a total prize package of $50,000. Almost 18,000 unique True Rewards members participated.
- The Vegas Golden Knights STN Play Shootout was designed to drive all Station Casinos players club members to create a free account and play daily at their social online casino – STN Play – as well as earning a chance to win millions of free STN Play coins and a 4-night, 3-day stay in a luxury suite at Red Rock Casino Resort. Over 7,000 new accounts were created by Boarding Pass customers and the promotion completely paid for itself just in the coin packages purchased by new STN Play customers.
